HOURS: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM. Initial training will be conducted on day shift for approximately 1–2 weeks from 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Upon transition to second shift, a $2.00/hour shift differential will be added to the base hourly rate.

JOB SUMMARY:
Painting equipment, buildings, and other structural surfaces using spray guns, brushes, and rollers.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Remove old paint to prepare surface [if applicable] to prepare surfaces prior to painting
· Apply primers and sealers to prepare new surfaces for finishing coats
· Apply paint, stain, varnish, enamel, or other finishes to equipment, buildings, or other structures, using brushes, spray guns, or rollers
· Calculate amounts of required materials and estimate costs, based on surface measurements or work orders
· Read work orders or receive instructions from management to determine work order requirements
· Erect scaffolding or swing gates, or set up ladders, to work in elevated positions
· Mix and match colors of paint, stain, or varnish with oil or thinning and drying additives to obtain desired colors and consistencies
· Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience: 1 years of experience with painting in a manufacturing environment
Education: Highschool diploma/ GED or equivalent
Related Experience:
· General math skills
· Proficient with hand and power tools
· Attention to detail
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks; keep up in a fast-paced
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights. When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
