 HOURS: Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM. Initial training will be conducted on day shift for approximately 1–2 weeks from 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM. Upon transition to second shift, a $2.00/hour shift differential will be added to the base hourly rate. 

JOB SUMMARY:
Module X Solutions is seeking an IT Support Technician II to join our small, dynamic IT team. Reporting directly to the IT Manager, you will provide intermediate-level technical support and assist with IT operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role combines hands-on technical support with significant physical tasks, including installing equipment and running network cables, to ensure the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provide helpdesk support, resolving employee IT requests and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues of moderate complexity.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other IT equipment in office and manufacturing settings.
  • Run network cables and support networking tasks (e.g., configuring switches, troubleshooting connectivity).
  • Assist with the administration of Windows Server 2016, 2019, and 2022, and support Windows 10/11 endpoints.
  • Support Microsoft 365, SharePoint Online, Power Apps, Sage 100 Advanced (ERP), and Autodesk Vault/Inventor.
  • Perform physical tasks, including equipment installation, cabling, lifting or moving hardware (up to 50 lbs), climbing ladders, and working in areas with dust, noise, and temperature variations.
  • Assist with user training and contribute to IT projects, such as software deployments or system upgrades, as needed.
 
QUALIFICATIONS:
Work Experience: 
  • Experience: 1-3 years of experience in IT support, technical support, or a related field, preferably in a Microsoft environment. Experience with Windows Server (2016, 2019, 2022), Power Apps, or Sage 100 is a plus but not required.
 
 
Technical Skills: 
  • Proficiency with Windows 10/11 troubleshooting and configuration.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 (e.g., Outlook, Teams, SharePoint Online).
  • Familiarity with networking fundamentals (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and ability to run network cables.
  • Exposure to ERP systems (e.g., Sage 100) or CAD software (e.g., Autodesk Vault/Inventor) is a plus.
Education: 
  • Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience. Certifications (e.g., CompTIA A , Network , Microsoft 365 Fundamentals) are a plus but not required.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee sometimes works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to excessive noise, extreme heat, extreme cold, and heights.  When participating in activities on the shop floor, the noise level in the work environment is typical for a fabrication shop and ear plugs may be used as necessary.
