Responsibilities
- Perform welding tasks using various techniques, including GMAW (Gas-Metal Arc Welding)
- Fabricate and assemble metal structures and components according to specifications
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics
- Utilize tools such as calipers for precise measurements during fabrication
- Operate forklifts safely for material handling and transport within the facility
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment and tools to ensure proper functioning
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards
Skills
- Proficient in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and FCAW
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Experience working with sheet metal and other fabrication materials
- Ability to fabricate, assemble, and solder components accurately
- Familiarity with operating forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
