Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will lead a team of warehouse associates, ensuring accurate order fulfillment, smooth receiving and shipping processes, and strict adherence to safety protocols. This role combines hands-on warehouse management with team leadership and operational oversight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coach, and mentor warehouse staff, including order pickers, shipping and receiving, and support personnel.
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping.
- Monitor team performance and productivity, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
- Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, enforcing all safety protocols and procedures.
- Collaborate with operations and logistics teams to improve workflow, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
- Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
- Schedule and assign tasks to warehouse staff, balancing workload effectively.
- Address operational challenges, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions promptly.
- Track warehouse metrics, prepare reports, and communicate key performance indicators to management.
- Support hiring, training, and onboarding of new warehouse employees.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field preferred.
- Proven warehouse supervisory or team lead experience, preferably in e-commerce or fulfillment operations.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory control, and shipping/receiving processes.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and basic computer applications.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely as needed.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions (temperature changes, noise).
