Job Summary
The Warehouse Outbound Material Handler is responsible for safely and efficiently loading outbound shipments onto trucks using manual and powered material handling equipment. This role ensures all documents are properly completed and products are loaded accurately, securely, and in accordance with company safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Load finished goods onto trucks in the correct order based on shipping documents and delivery routes
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts (if certified)
- Verify product quantities and inspect items for damage prior to loading
- Secure loads to prevent shifting or damage during transit
- Coordinate with shipping and warehouse teams to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and equipment operation
- Maintain a clean, organized loading dock and work area
- Assist with unloading inbound shipments and general warehouse tasks as needed
- Meet daily productivity and accuracy goals
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse, shipping, or loading experience preferred
- Forklift or pallet jack experience/certification preferred (or willingness to be trained)
- Ability to lift and move materials up to 50 lbs regularly
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
- Reliable attendance and strong teamwork skills
- Basic understanding of shipping documents is a plus
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to accurately maneuver a forklift in narrow areas.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions (temperature changes, noise).
