Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Warehouse Order Picker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately picking, scanning, and palletizing orders and preparing customer orders for shipment, while maintaining and organized inventory and supporting overall warehouse operations. This role is hands-on and fast-paced, ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick and prepare customer orders according to pick lists and packing instructions.
- Inspect products for quality and ensure they are ready to be packaged securely for shipping.
- Maintain organized warehouse shelves, bins, and inventory areas.
- Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
- Use warehouse equipment safely, including pallet jacks, forklifts (if certified), and hand trucks.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth operations.
- Follow all safety procedures and warehouse protocols.
- Support inventory counts and recordkeeping as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous warehouse, fulfillment, or order-picking experience.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (up to 50 lbs) safely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems are a plus.
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Ability to accurately maneuver a forklift in narrow areas.
- Ability to work in varying warehouse conditions (temperature changes, noise).
