Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS, Micros POS, or OpenTable.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales.
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness.
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met during food handling and serving.
- Assist with bussing tables, cleaning, and resetting tables for new guests.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, daily specials, and wine or beverage pairings to assist guests effectively.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and guest satisfaction.
- Provide guest relations by addressing inquiries or concerns professionally and courteously.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, fine dining, or hospitality preferred; experience with restaurant POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction.
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy periods.
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Ability to perform basic math for billing and cash handling accurately.
- Experience with upselling menu items to enhance guest experience and sales performance.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations including bussing, hosting/host duties, and food preparation is advantageous.
