Exterior Structural CAE Engineer

Akkodis is seeking an
Exterior Structural CAE Engineer
for a
Contract
with a client in
Dearborn, MI.
The ideal candidate will drive vehicle structural performance through advanced CAE analysis, supporting the design and validation of exterior components and systems.
Rate Range:
$40/Hour to $42/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Exterior Structural CAE Engineer Responsibilities Include
Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to evaluate and validate the structural performance of vehicle exterior components and systems.
Develop, modify, and maintain CAE models to support design decisions and ensure compliance with engineering requirements.
Conduct durability, fatigue, and structural assessments, providing recommendations to improve product quality, performance, and cost.
Collaborate with design, release, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional CAE teams to develop effective engineering solutions.
Analyze and interpret CAE and physical test results, correlating models and identifying feasible countermeasures to meet performance targets.
Support continuous improvement initiatives by developing new simulation methodologies, conducting model audits, and sharing technical expertise across global teams.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Materials Science, or a related engineering discipline; master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
5 years of experience in Structural CAE, Durability, Fatigue Analysis, or Finite Element Analysis (FEA) within the automotive industry.
Hands-on experience with CAE and meshing tools such as HyperMesh, ANSA, Abaqus, Nastran, NCODE, or similar FEA software.
Strong understanding of linear static and non-linear dynamic analysis, material properties, weld analysis, and fatigue theory.

Pay Details:
$40.00 to $42.00 per hour

Salary : $83,200 - $87,360
