General Production - 1st Shift

Job Title: Operator C - General Production   

Reports to: Department Supervisor at specific Business Unit

FLSA Status: Non-exempt

Pay Rate: Base $17.00

Schedule: Assigned manufacturing shift.  Typically, (5) - 8hr shifts or (4) - 10hr shifts.  Overtime as needed.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

Perform all general production functions involved in the manufacturing and assembly processes of Modineer Company. General production includes, but is not limited to, the operation of spot welders, robotic weld cells, single stroke stamping presses up to 400 tons, drills, grinders, stretch benders, and forklifts as well as other related duties as assigned.  Employees must follow standard work instructions and practice safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

1. Read and understand work instructions
2. Load and unload parts
3. Change weld tips, nozzles, and fixtures
4. Wear appropriate PPE
5. Handle/lift/push/pull up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis
6. Perform product quality checks in accordance with work instructions
7. Package parts per specifications
8. Use small hand-held tools to make minor adjustments to parts
9. Read and understand measurement devices
10. Make boxes with wooden skids

Education, prior work experience and specialized skills and knowledge:

1. Experience using small hand-held tools, grinders, sanders, etc. is a plus 
2. Must be able to accurately complete all required Modineer production system documentation such as production reports, inspection reports, etc.
3. Forklift experience is a plus

Physical environment/working conditions: 

The position is in the factory and could involve sitting, standing, walking, and lifting for long periods of time throughout the day.
