What are the responsibilities and job description for the Space Technology Subject Matter Expert position at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI)?
As a Space Technology Subject Matter Expert with MTSI you will be a lead advisor to DoD program managers and technical directors for the evaluation and transition of advanced space systems.

- Provide direct support to a Department of Defense customer for the Space Security and Defense Program.
- Provides advice, technical guidance and expertise to program staff in the following areas:
- Space-based systems
- Multi-domain systems
- Classified technology transition
- Initiates, supervises, and/or develops requirements from a project's inception to conclusion for complex to extremely complex programs
- Provides strategic advice, technical guidance and expertise to program and project staff
- Provides detailed analysis, evaluation and recommendations for improvements, optimization development, and/or maintenance efforts for client-specific or mission critical challenges/issues
- 15 years of relevant DoD/IC or relevant industry work experience with no less than five (5) years' experience in a SAP and/or SCI environment
- Experience must include space technology, space architectures, air-space integration, and space control systems.
- Must be a self-starter, able to take initiative, work independently and recognize management issues that need to be elevated
- Excellent oral, written, and reporting communication skills
- Ability to work in a flexible, fast-paced, and highly dynamic environment
- Ability to multi-task and maintain deadline punctuality during pressurized situations
- Masters Degree in a science, engineering, or technical field
- PhD degree in a science, engineering, or technical field DESIRED
- Top Secret, SCI Eligible; SAP experience within last 5 years or SCI in lieu of.
