MTSI is seeking a Senior Defense Technologist for Operational Planning, Wargaming, and Exercises, you will play a pivotal role in support for the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (OUSW(R&E)) Mission Capabilities (MC) Multi-Domain Joint Operations (MDJO).
You will blend operational expertise with innovative technology approaches to drive the assessment of military effectiveness and engineering viability in critical DoD programs. This role demands a strategist with a deep understanding of research, development, and program transition efforts within DoD initiatives. This position is located in the National Capital Region (NCR).

Your essential job functions will include but may not be limited to:
- Conceiving, planning, and conducting exercises and wargaming.
- Assessing military effectiveness and engineering viability.
- Shepherding collaboration agreements.
- Navigating foreign disclosure processes.
- Generating support documentation (e.g., scenario, background, order of battle).
- 15 years of experience in operational planning, wargaming, and/or exercise planning.
- Demonstrated experience in use of advanced techniques, theories, precepts, and practices in technological programs, preferably as has transitioned to operational use.
- Master's degree required.
- Doctoral degree highly preferred.
- Experience with program transition efforts
- Joint Staff experience
- An active Top Secret (TS) security clearance (with SCI and SAP/CAP eligibility) is required.
