MTSI is seeking to hire a Principal Systems Engineer will provide advanced systems engineering expertise in support of Army PAE M&S Programs. This role involves leading the design, integration, analysis, and lifecycle management of complex systems within a mission‑critical environment. The ideal candidate combines strong technical depth with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams and government stakeholders.

- Lead systems engineering activities, including requirements development, functional analysis, system architecture, and design reviews
- Develop, evaluate, and manage system specifications, interface control documents (ICDs), and technical baselines
- Support system integration, test planning, verification, and validation throughout the system lifecycle
- Conduct trade studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations to inform program decisions
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers
- Prepare and deliver technical briefings, reports, and documentation to program leadership and government customers
- Ensure compliance with DoD, MIL‑STD, and program-specific engineering processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as software, hardware, cybersecurity, logistics, and program management
- Support acquisition activities including requirements decomposition, system readiness reviews, and technical proposals
- Interface with end users, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure system performance meets operational needs
- US citizenship and an active Top Secret level security clearance is required.
- Bachelor’s degree in systems engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related technical discipline
- 10 years of systems engineering experience supporting DoD programs
- Experience supporting Army PEO Missiles & Space, PEO Aviation, Air Force International Affairs, or Navy International Programs.
- Strong understanding of systems engineering principles, methodologies, and frameworks (INCOSE, IEEE, MIL‑STD-499, etc.).
- Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or equivalent
- Master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline
- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance
- Experience working on weapon systems, command and control systems, space systems, aviation platforms, or other major defense acquisition programs
- Knowledge of DoD acquisition lifecycle, technical reviews, and documentation
- Familiarity with Agile development, DevSecOps environments, or digital engineering practices
- Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools/methods (Cameo, Rhapsody, SysML) preferred.
