Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an Applications Administrator. The Applications Administrator develops and maintains the applications and security configurations. The ideal candidate will have experience working with best-in-class business applications such as Smartsheet, with knowledge of SharePoint development and API integrations across Enterprise Tools and modern data management frameworks. Responsible for deploying releases, tool upgrades, account management. Resolving user issues and troubleshooting performance issues. Engineer solutions, research, and plans for adoption of new applications to provide a competitive advantage to the company. Establishes practices, procedures, and concepts related to Enterprise Applications as it relates to the organization. This role is critical in supporting initiatives to drive innovation, enable seamless integrations, and support the development of a robust digital ecosystem to enhance business operations.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Smartsheet Customization & Automation: Create and manage advanced Smartsheet workflows and integrations to support project management, team collaboration, and process automation. Including implementing and maintaining object backups as necessary.
- Smartsheet Account Management: Work to manage account license distribution and handling the creation and maintenance of account profiles in agreement with license agreements.
- System Optimization: Review current enterprise tool suite and make technical/process recommendations for improving efficiency; including upgrades, retirement or consolidation of applications as appropriate.
- Requirements Analysis: Gather, prioritize, and validate requirements from stakeholders across departments.
- Technical Documentation: Create detailed specifications, workflows, and process documentation for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Cross-Department Collaboration: Act as a liaison between business units and IT teams to align applications and workflows with business needs.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Perform advanced analysis of system data and generate actionable insights for decision-making.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing: Conduct training sessions and provide support to end-users for system adoption; additionally Acting as a resource/mentor for colleagues with less experience.
- Vendor Coordination: Collaborate with external vendors to evaluate and implement new systems or upgrades and general tool maintenance.
- Risk Awareness: Identify and communicate risks related to application changes while recommending mitigation strategies.
- Security Awareness: Work with the Security team on cyber-security issues such as incident response and vulnerability management.
- Enterprise Tool Expertise: Proficiency in Smartsheet functionality, including advanced automation, reporting, and dashboard development.
- Analytical Expertise: Strong capacity to evaluate complex systems and processes, identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Requirements Management: Skilled in prioritizing and detailing project requirements, ensuring clarity for all stakeholders.
- Technical Writing Skills: Ability to produce detailed documentation, specifications, and user guides.
- Problem-Solving Ability: Effectively resolve intermediate-to-complex system issues and recommend innovative solutions.
- Data Analysis Competency: Knowledge with data analysis tools such as Smartsheet, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps and Microsoft 365.
- Stakeholder Communication: Confident in engaging with business leaders and technical teams for aligning objectives.
- Process Improvement Knowledge: Expertise in identifying inefficiencies and recommending workflow improvements.
- Leadership Skills: Capable of leading testing efforts, collaborating across teams, and driving projects forward.
- Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with enterprise applications (Smartsheet, SharePoint Online, Microsoft 365) and tools for system analysis and management.
- Adaptability: Must thrive in dynamic environments while managing evolving priorities and business needs effectively.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related technical degree; or Bachelor’s degree in non-related field accepted with adequate training and experience
- 5-8 years of experience in related field
- Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
- US citizenship
