What are the responsibilities and job description for the Air Force Joint Simulation Environment (JSE) Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer position at Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI)?
We are seeking a highly motivated Modeling and Simulation (M&S) Engineer to join our team at either Edwards Air Force Base, CA or Nellis AFB, NV.
This critical role supports the Joint Simulation Environment (JSE), which is a high-fidelity virtual environment used for man in the loop mission simulation of cutting-edge DoW aircraft. The JSE is used for high-end pilot training and test in support of acquisition and operation for a variety of new and existing aircraft platforms. This position is very dynamic and will draw on a breadth of skills. Lessons learned with JSE have direct applicability to the warfighter, so maintaining fidelity to the real world is paramount. As such, the well-positioned candidate will have experience with development, test or training for real tactical or strategic aircraft as foundation. Prior experience with JSE architecture, software or operations is highly desirable. Other desirable technical skill sets include, but are not limited to, familiarity with systems engineering, validation and verification methodologies, scientific scripting languages (e.g. Python, MatLab/Simulink, C ), USAF test planning and report writing, information system administration, engineering analyses of mission systems, flight test conduct and range operations, Agile applications (e.g. JIRA, CONFLUENCE) and processes, data analytics, and emerging technologies.
