Associate – Real Property
As an Associate, you’ll support the property tax appeals process by assisting with property reviews, conducting research, analyzing valuations, and preparing appeal documentation. Key Responsibilities
- Assist with property tax assessments and reviews to identify potential tax savings opportunities.
- Analyze property tax valuations and assessment data to identify inconsistencies or areas for appeal.
- Support the preparation and filing of property tax appeals, including gathering documentation and assisting with case development.
- Conduct research on property tax laws, regulations, and market trends to support client engagements.
- Collaborate with clients to collect and organize property records, valuation information, and other supporting documentation.
- Prepare reports, summaries, and client-facing materials outlining findings and recommendations.
- Maintain accurate case files and ensure deadlines and filing requirements are met.
- Work closely with senior team members on assessment appeals and other client projects while developing technical knowledge and professional skills.
- Build positive client relationships through responsive communication and high-quality work.
- Contribute to a collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on delivering exceptional client service.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, real estate, accounting, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Minimum 2-5 years experience in property tax consulting, real estate, or a related field.
- Comprehensive knowledge of property tax laws, valuation methodologies, and appeal processes.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and property data.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to clients.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in [relevant software/tools, e.g., property tax management systems, MS Office Suite].
- Certification as a Property Tax Consultant (CPTC) or related credential is required.
