About the Position:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team. Our practice accepts insurance, so familiarity with insurance processes is a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional atmosphere
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage appointment scheduling
- Verify client insurance benefits and assist with insurance authorizations
- Collect and process payments, including copays and outstanding balances
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records in our electronic health system
- Assist clinicians with administrative tasks such as document preparation and correspondence
- Coordinate with insurance companies regarding claims, denials, and billing issues
- Support general office operations, including ordering supplies and maintaining a tidy workspace
Required Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Previous administrative experience, ideally in a healthcare or mental health setting (preferred, but not required)
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Proficiency with computers and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability for part-time hours, including some evenings as needed
