Key Responsibilities
- Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques and ensuring patient comfort and seamless workflows.
- Prepare and sterilize treatment rooms and instruments, maintaining a pristine clinical space.
- Provide exceptional patient education and support, helping them feel at ease.
- Manage patient records and medical documentation, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Utilize dental software systems such as Dentrix for scheduling appointments, managing patient information, and documenting treatment plans.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-operative care instructions.
- Communicate clearly and compassionately with patients.
- Perform radiographic procedures as directed by the dentist while adhering to safety standards.
- Write accurate and detailed clinical notes to document patient care and procedures.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Certified Dental Assistant (or equivalent state certification)
- Minimum of 5 years of hands on dental assisting experience.
- Fluency in English and either Russian or Spanish to engage our diverse patients.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and adherence to confidentiality standards is essential.
- Ability to anticipate the doctor's needs and prepare thoroughly for procedures.
- Strong skills in restorative dentistry, crowns, and temporary fabrications.
- Familiarity with dental software and digital X-ray systems.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent knowledge of sterilization and infection control.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills and a heartfelt commitment to patient care.
- Appropriate Florida credentials for assigned duties.
- Experience with veneers, Invisalign, implants, full-mouth reconstruction.
