Position Overview:
MPE is looking for a Project Engineer to join our fast-growing Systems Division. The Systems Division delivers comprehensive solutions that include MPE's grinding and conveying equipment, custom-fabricated equipment built to our specifications, and automated controls integrated with the customer's process control system.
As a Project Engineer, you'll collaborate with customers, in-house engineers, and production teams to design, plan, schedule, and manage projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on role, offering direct involvement and responsibility across all aspects of each project.

Essential Technical Skills:
- Experience and proficiency in MS Office applications
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or other 3D modeling software)
- Familiarity with P&ID drawings, mechanical drawings, mechanical assemblies, dry material handling process equipment, and material transport methods
Background:
- 3 years of project design and management in Process Industry
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Required
Essential functions:
- Process Design:
- Develop and specify process equipment designs to achieve process objectives
- Create process flow and P&ID drawings
- Calculate process rates and mass flow balance simulations
- Mechanical Design
- Create 3D Solidworks model of systems and prepare approval, fabrication and installation drawing packages
- Responsible for specification of mechanical equipment and instrumentation
- Work directly with in-house and external fabrication facilities
- Project Management
- Manage concept, design, engineering, construction and startup for complete processing plants.
- Work with existing team of engineers and designers to create project deliverables in an accurate and timely manner
- Technical customer relations during all project phases
- Coordination of vendors, outside engineering, and contractors
- Develop and maintain expedited project schedules
- Host design reviews with customers, contractors, vendors, and design team
- Responsible for project budget
- On-site supervision during construction and startup project phases
- Validate process design & equipment function
- Troubleshoot & resolve all issues that may arise
