Position Overview:

MPE is looking for a Project Engineer to join our fast-growing Systems Division. The Systems Division delivers comprehensive solutions that include MPE's grinding and conveying equipment, custom-fabricated equipment built to our specifications, and automated controls integrated with the customer's process control system.

As a Project Engineer, you'll collaborate with customers, in-house engineers, and production teams to design, plan, schedule, and manage projects from start to finish. This is a hands-on role, offering direct involvement and responsibility across all aspects of each project.

Essential Technical Skills:

• Experience and proficiency in MS Office applications
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or other 3D modeling software)
• Familiarity with P&ID drawings, mechanical drawings, mechanical assemblies, dry material handling process equipment, and material transport methods

Background:

• 3 years of project design and management in Process Industry
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering Required

Essential functions:

1. Process Design:
   1. Develop and specify process equipment designs to achieve process objectives
   2. Create process flow and P&ID drawings
   3. Calculate process rates and mass flow balance simulations
2. Mechanical Design
   1. Create 3D Solidworks model of systems and prepare approval, fabrication and installation drawing packages
   2. Responsible for specification of mechanical equipment and instrumentation
   3. Work directly with in-house and external fabrication facilities
3. Project Management
   1. Manage concept, design, engineering, construction and startup for complete processing plants.
   2. Work with existing team of engineers and designers to create project deliverables in an accurate and timely manner
   3. Technical customer relations during all project phases
   4. Coordination of vendors, outside engineering, and contractors
   5. Develop and maintain expedited project schedules
   6. Host design reviews with customers, contractors, vendors, and design team
   7. Responsible for project budget
4. On-site supervision during construction and startup project phases
   1. Validate process design & equipment function
   2. Troubleshoot & resolve all issues that may arise
