What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping and Receiving Forklift Operator position at Modern Polymers Inc.?
Modern Polymers Inc. is currently looking for a Forklift Operator/Material Handler for 1st shift.
Main duties include: Move material to/from production area.
Stacking material to assigned places. Load/unload trucks. Locate and move stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, and equipment to load and unload materials
- Conduct thorough inspections of equipment before use to ensure safety and proper functioning
- Handle materials with precision using scanners and warehouse management systems for accurate order picking and inventory control
- Assist with shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments
- Perform heavy lifting tasks and move pallets using pallet jacks or other mechanical tools as needed
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock locations and maintaining a clean workspace
Qualifications:
- Organizational skills
- Ability to read and analyze Information
- Ability to multitask to be able to meet multiple deadlines
- Excellent time management
- Knowledge of inventory control
- Shipping experience a required
- 5 years of Warehouse/Material Handler experience
