Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Maintenance Technician to join our maintenance team. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform preventive maintenance on production equipment, facility systems, and plumbing systems to ensure maximum equipment reliability, minimize downtime, and support safe and efficient manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled daily, weekly, and monthly preventive maintenance on production machinery, facility equipment, and utility systems.
- Inspect, maintain, and repair plumbing systems, including water lines, valves, drains, pumps, piping, and fixtures.
- Inspect mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and plumbing systems for signs of wear or potential failure.
- Lubricate, clean, adjust, and replace worn components as required.
- Troubleshoot equipment and facility issues and perform repairs as needed.
- Complete preventive maintenance checklists accurately and document all work performed.
- Identify equipment issues before they result in breakdowns and recommend corrective actions.
- Assist with emergency maintenance and equipment repairs when necessary.
- Maintain tools, spare parts, and maintenance work areas in a clean and organized condition.
- Follow all safety procedures, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and comply with company policies and OSHA regulations.
- Work closely with production personnel to minimize equipment downtime.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, maintenance efficiency, and facility operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred.
- Previous experience in industrial or manufacturing maintenance is preferred.
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and plumbing systems.
- Ability to install, repair, and troubleshoot plumbing components, including PVC, copper, galvanized, and threaded piping.
- Ability to read and follow maintenance procedures, equipment manuals, and basic technical drawings.
- Experience using hand and power tools safely.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic computer skills for completing maintenance records and work orders.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with preventive maintenance software (CMMS), such as MaintainX.
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Welding, pipe fitting, or fabrication experience is a plus.
- Forklift or aerial lift certification is a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces when required.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and around industrial equipment.
