What are the responsibilities and job description for the VALET ATTENDANT (Part-Time) position at MODERN PARKING INC?
The Valet Attendant is responsible for providing excellent customer service while parking and retrieving customer vehicles in a safe and timely manner.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Park and retrieve customers' vehicles in a safe and timely manner
- Assist customers and their passengers in and out of their vehicles, including helping them with their luggage and personal items
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor when working with both customers and employees
- Provide customer resolution in a professional and friendly manner
- Welcome and acknowledge all customers according to company standards; anticipate and address customers’ needs and thank customers with a genuine appreciation.
- Control traffic to ensure a smooth flow at all times, while ensuring pedestrians are safe
- Maintain security of vehicles and vehicle keys
- Verify the necessary supplies at the start of each shift
- Maintain a neat and orderly valet stand at all times that is free of debris and trash
- Complete the necessary end of shift documentation and transfer vehicle keys and supporting tickets to the next shift's employee
- Monitor and maintain safety, security and cleanliness of parking areas
- Arrive in complete uniform before and during scheduled shifts
- Must work with or without supervision
- Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards
- May be asked by local management to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors
Schedule
Monday - Thursday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
Qualifications:MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be 18 years or older
- Current California Driver License
- Valid/Acceptable Driving Record
- No more than 2 pts within the last 3 yrs.
- No more than 1 at fault accident with the last 5 yrs.
- Ability to drive vehicles both Manual and Automatic
- Take an Integrity Survey
- Willing to take a Fitness for Duties Test (Medical/Drug Screen)
- Willingness to undergo a Background Check
- Standing/Walking for long periods of time.
- Lifting, Pushing, and Pulling up to 25 lbs.
- Bending/Squatting frequently.
