What are the responsibilities and job description for the Acro Dance Teacher position at Modern Motion Dance School?
The Dance Teachers work closely with our students to deliver high quality dance experiences that boost confidence and nurture creativity. In this role, the Dance Teachers will work to dazzle newcomers and returning students, cultivate a positive atmosphere, and provide a pathway to aspiring dancers to reach their full potential. Our studio is a 501c3 nonprofit corporation.

- You don’t have the time to prep for for classes at home, attend staff meetings, or trainings outside of regularly scheduled classes, or arrive early before class
- You prefer to shout or use tougher coaching techniques when teaching
Qualifications
The candidate must:
- have at least five years of dance, gymnastics, or tumbling training
- documented acro/tumbling experience or certification
- dress appropriately for class activities
- possess dance teaching experience, a degree in dance, college credits in dance, and/or extensive training in dance
Essential Duties
- Implement curriculum (syllabus, music, class structure) provided by the Director
- Choreograph age appropriate dances using curriculum (meeting all deadlines, mapping music, sharing notes, etc.)
- Record video instructional aids for students
- Lead students and Ambassadors in every class
- Attend staff meetings, events and performances
- Responsible for the safety of the school assets (human, financial, and physical) and dancers entrusted in your care (watching who is picking up children, ensuring children don't leave without an adult or go into parking lot alone)
- Daily use of database system for student attendance
- Light cleaning of studio room, reporting areas in need of repair or replacement to the Business Operations Associate
- Report all incidents, accidents, and concerns arising from any and all school functions, classes, or performances to the Executive Director.

21 years of age
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
