Quality Assurance CMM Programmer

We are seeking a CMM Programmer with advanced experience in programming and operating a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) in our Quality Assurance Department. A good candidate has an advanced knowledge of CMM programming software, equipment, and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. They will develop CMM programs and fixturing that ensures efficient and accurate measurements and program the CMM to perform FAI, setup, and in-process inspections.

Responsibilities:

· Develop and optimize CMM programs (PC-DMIS) and fixtures for product inspection

· Design and source CMM part-holding concepts and fixtures

· Verify CMM repeatability and reproducibility

· Perform first article inspections

· Conduct FAI, setup, in-process, and incoming inspections using CMM

· Write/run programs on Keyence vision system

· Complete detailed inspection criteria and workplace documents

Requirements:

· Ability to read and interpret customer blueprints, requirements, and engineering specifications, including MIL specifications

· Proficiency in GD&T

· Experience in a manufacturing environment

· Ability to perform inspections using a Coordinated Measuring Machine, hand tools, and other inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, thread gages, optical comparators, etc.)

· Knowledge and experience with first article inspections (AS9102 Form), in-process inspections, and final inspections

· Programming in vision systems, preferably Keyence

Education/Experience:

· High school diploma or GED, Vocational or associate’s degree preferred

· Experience programming with PC-DMIS preferred

· ASQ Certified Mechanical Inspector Certification preferred

· CNC-machining experience preferred

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
