Construction Foreman

Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Construction Foreman to lead and oversee construction projects from start to finish. This role is vital in ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. As a Construction Foreman, you will coordinate daily operations on-site, supervise crews, manage resources, and ensure compliance with safety regulations and project specifications. Your leadership will be instrumental in driving project success and fostering a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise construction crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship.
• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or similar tools, ensuring timely completion of milestones.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans accurately to guide on-site activities.
• Monitor project progress daily, identify potential issues early, and implement corrective actions to stay on track.
• Manage project budgets by tracking costs, controlling expenses, and preparing accurate estimates using construction estimating software like HeavyBid.
• Enforce safety protocols in accordance with OSHA standards; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections to maintain a safe work environment.
• Oversee quality control processes, ensuring all work meets contractual requirements, specifications, and industry standards.
• Coordinate with project managers on contract administration, including reviewing contracts and managing change orders.
• Utilize construction management software such as ProCore or Bluebeam for documentation, reporting, and communication across teams.
• Supervise the use of tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and ensure proper maintenance of equipment on-site.
• Foster effective communication among team members, clients, architects, and suppliers to facilitate smooth project execution.

Skills

• Extensive experience in construction site supervision with a solid understanding of construction management principles.
• Proficiency in project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or Primavera; familiarity with construction management software like ProCore or Bluebeam is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating techniques.
• Proven ability to manage budgets effectively while maintaining quality standards.
• Excellent management skills with supervising experience in fast-paced construction environments.
• Deep understanding of safety regulations including OSHA standards; ability to enforce safety policies consistently.
• Skilled in using technical tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing; familiarity with pipeline construction is a plus.
• Ability to read contracts thoroughly and manage contractual obligations efficiently.
• Experience working on heavy civil projects involving pipelines or other large-scale infrastructure is advantageous.
