Freshly Printed: The Role You Have Been Looking For
As the Digital Press Operator, you will play a crucial role in the production process. This position is responsible for operating and maintaining digital presses to meet the demands of the daily production schedule and ensuring the quality and efficiency of the products we deliver.
From Set up to Finish: Your Role in the Process
- Create and modify templates for digital press jobs as needed to meet job specifications.
- Generate accurate two-sided digital proofs of printed sheets/signatures
- Follow all established company and departmental policies, procedures, and production standards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment. Promptly report any unsafe conditions to the appropriate personnel.
- Comply with all safety guidelines and always demonstrate safe work practices.
- Demonstrate reliability through consistent attendance and punctuality.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional departments to ensure smooth workflow and issue resolution.
- Act as a knowledgeable resource for peers and other departments, assisting with troubleshooting, process improvements, and complex problem-solving as needed.
The Fine Print: What You Need to Succeed
- High school diploma or equivalent; one to two years of recent related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office applications.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence clearly and accurately.
- Strong interpersonal skills; able to work and communicate effectively with others on a routine basis.
- Capable of solving practical problems and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Able to interpret a range of instructions presented in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to lift, pull, and push moderately heavy materials (up to 60 lbs).
- Must be able to stand for extended periods (8 hours), with some reaching and stooping required.
- Strong attention to detail with a consistent commitment to quality and accuracy.
