Speech Language Pathologist
Shift Details
Shift starts at 8:00 am and ends at 4:30 pm. The incumbent is required to work one weekend every month, providing care within an inpatient setting.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
- NYS licensure
- Clinical certification in Speech Pathology (or its equivalent)
- Completion of clinical fellowship year
- Ability to successfully pass pre-employment health clearance
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administer evaluations to diagnose speech, language, cognition, communication, and swallowing disorders.
- Establish and provide treatment programs for individuals with deficits in speech, language, cognitive, voice, and/or swallowing disorders.
- Schedule patients for evaluations and treatments based on their needs.
- Provide education to patients, families, and staff regarding disorders of speech, language, cognition, voice, and/or swallowing.
- Participate in program development for the speech therapy discipline and related departments.
