Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Critical Care Registered Nurse to join our Float Pool. This position offers flexibility to meet unit needs and requires the nurse to float between multiple Intensive Care Units (ICUs) based on staffing and patient acuity. The critical care areas may include:
- Neuro ICU
- Surgical ICUs
- Medical ICUs (MICU x2)
- Cardiology/Diagnostics
- Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients in various ICU settings.
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform advanced nursing procedures.
- Monitor patient status and respond effectively to changes in condition.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Document patient care activities accurately and in compliance with policies.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required.
- Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical records system required.
- Experience in IV therapy, telemetry, and ventilator management is essential.
- Previous travel nursing experience is strongly preferred.
Orientation
New hires will undergo 36 hours of orientation to ensure a smooth transition into the Float Pool role.

- Serving adult patients with varying critical care needs.
- Daily patient census exceeds 900.
