Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Forklift Technician based in Edison, NJ. The Forklift Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, maintaining, and servicing a wide range of forklifts and related industrial equipment. Day-to-day tasks include performing routine inspections, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, ordering replacement parts, and maintaining service records. The Technician will also provide exceptional customer service and ensure that equipment is operating safely and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing forklift and industrial equipment
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics systems
- Experience with electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair
- Strong communication and customer service skills to interact effectively with clients and team members
- Ability to maintain accurate service records and work independently
- Experience with safety protocols and adherence to industry standards
- High school diploma or GED; technical certifications or training in mechanics is a plus
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the designated area as required
- Previous experience in material handling equipment repair is a plus
