What are the responsibilities and job description for the 1st Shift Cold Finishing Operator position at Modern Forge Tennessee LLC?
Modern Forge, Piney Flats, TN, is accepting applications for a Cold Finishing Operator. You will operate various secondary operation units- including 250-1000 ton coin press / extrusion / MPI / Drill Assembly units and tow motor- and ability to perform inspections on product as planned. After 30 days of service, you become eligible for company paid holidays. After 3 months of service, you become eligible for participation in our medical, dental, vision, and 401K coverage. After 6 months of service, you are eligible for vacation pay. After 30 days of service, you become eligible for company paid holidays. Responsibilities
- Receives work assignments via meetings held prior to shift start-up and according to the daily schedule
- Operates press to perform coining, straightening, and bending operations as required
- Use of prints and ability to understand SPC to make adjustments at drill station-control plans
- GS5S in all areas responsible
- Must continuously look for areas of improvement – LEAN MANUFACTURING
- Use of Quality Alerts and instructions explaining the non-routine verification to be performed.
- Set-up of Drill and assembly stations and performs PM on MPI and the HD cell units
- Operate the various presses (mechanical and hydraulic) listed above.
- Keeps work area in a clean and orderly fashion at all times
- Follows all safety procedures
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Relevant experience preferred.
Additional Requirements
- Final candidates will be required to undergo a background check and a drug screening as part of the hiring process.
