Duties
- Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials based on blueprints and technical drawings.
- Weld various types of metals using MIG, TIG, or stick welding techniques to ensure strong joints and structural integrity.
- Utilize hand tools and machinery such as saws, drills, and grinders to perform tasks effectively.
- Rig materials for lifting and transport within the fabrication area.
- Conduct pipe threading operations as required for specific projects.
- Measure dimensions accurately using tools such as micrometers and calipers to ensure precise fabrication.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during the fabrication process and implement solutions.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in metal fabrication or a related field is preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand complex technical drawings.
- Proficient in welding techniques with a solid understanding of different metal types.
- Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks.
