AWARD-WINNING DERMATOLOGY PRACTICE LOCATED IN WESTPORT, CT CURRENTLY SEEKING A QUALIFIED, FULL-TIME HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER TO JOIN OUR REPUTABLE TEAM. We are a growing medical practice dedicated to providing high-quality patient care. With plans to expand to a second location, we are looking for a proactive, strategic Human Resources Manager to build and manage HR functions that support our team’s growth and success.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Human Resources Manager will play an integral part in our collaborative team by leading all HR operations for our practice, including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, benefits administration, and compliance. This role is critical in shaping a positive workplace culture and ensuring smooth HR processes as we grow to multiple locations. The Human Resources Manager will report directly the Chief Operating Officer.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- HR Administration & Compliance: Maintain employee records, ensure compliance with federal and Connecticut employment laws, and update HR policies/handbook
- Compensation & Benefits: Administer payroll and benefits, assist with benchmarking competitive compensation, and support HR needs as the practice expands
- Recruitment & Onboarding: Oversee hiring, onboarding, and staff engagement for clinical and administrative teams
- Performance Management: Implement performance review processes, identify training needs, and assist leadership with talent development and succession planning
- Employee Relations & Culture: Serve as a trusted resource for staff concerns, foster a positive work environment, and support retention initiatives
- Growth & Scalability: Standardize HR processes across multiple locations and support expansion initiatives
Candidate must meet the minimum qualifications and criteria:
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field; multi-site experience is a plus
- 5 years of HR experience, ideally in healthcare or medical office setting
- Strong knowledge of CT employment law and healthcare regulations
- Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office; experience with practice management software is a plus
- HR certification (SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
Further, any viable candidate will be subject to a full background investigation (including reference, credit, criminal background, and drug screening) following a conditional offer of employment
Work Hours: Exempt, Full-Time Position (~40 hours/week); work hours are primarily onsite during regular business hours (hours of operation range daily between the hours of 7am-7pm) as well as offsite as necessary to respond to calls, texts, or emails outside of scheduled hours when urgent or time-sensitive issues arise. Work Schedule may be negotiated at time of employment.
Compensation: $90,000-$120,000 annually, based on experience based on skills and experience
