Minimum Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience in medication authorization or a related field
- Strong knowledge of electronic health records
- Ability to solve problems and prioritize tasks effectively
- Experience in Healthcare
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multiple insurance companies and policies
- Experience with Covermymeds
- Knowledge of Pain Management medication
- Experience with Medicare, Workers comp, No Fault
- Experience with prior authorization and appeals processes
Responsibilities:
- Process medication orders and obtain necessary authorizations from insurance companies
- Communicate with healthcare providers and patients to ensure accurate and complete information
- Maintain accurate records of all medication authorizations and denials
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible patient care
- Stay up-to-date with changes in insurance policies and regulations
