Modern Day Dental is a privately owned office seeking an experienced and patient-focused Dental Treatment Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dental treatment planning, patient communication, and insurance coordination. This role is essential in helping patients understand their recommended care and feel confident moving forward with treatment.
Key Responsibilities
- Present and explain dental treatment plans clearly and compassionately to patients
- Review diagnoses and recommendations with doctors and clinical team to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Coordinate financial arrangements, including insurance benefits, estimates, and payment options
- Verify insurance coverage and communicate benefits, limitations, and out-of-pocket costs
- Answer patient questions and address concerns regarding treatment, timelines, and finances
- Schedule treatment appointments efficiently and follow up on unscheduled treatment
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in the practice management software
- Work closely with the front desk, clinical team, and doctors to ensure a seamless patient experience
- Support office goals related to case acceptance and patient satisfaction
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a dental treatment coordinator or similar role
- Strong knowledge of dental procedures, terminology, and treatment sequencing
- Experience with dental insurance verification, estimates, and claims
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Professional, empathetic, and patient-centered demeanor
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with dental practice management software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental, or similar)
Preferred Skills
- Experience in general dentistry and/or specialty coordination
- Sales or case presentation experience with a focus on ethical patient education
