We are an established residential homebuilding company located in Medford, NY looking for a motivated, organized, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Junior Construction Estimator.
Responsibilities
- Read and understand residential construction blueprints.
- Prepare material takeoffs and cost estimates for new home construction.
- Request and review subcontractor bids.
- Assist with preparing construction proposals.
- Order construction materials and coordinate with suppliers.
- Maintain organized project estimates an documentation.
Qualifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Excel.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to learn residential construction estimating.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Construction knowledge is a plus but not required.
