Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food production and service delivery
- Plan and develop menus that reflect culinary trends and meet guest preferences, including fine dining and catering options
- Oversee food safety protocols and ensure compliance with health regulations across all kitchen operations
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, stock rotation, and waste reduction to optimize food costs
- Coordinate with dietary departments to accommodate special dietary needs and restrictions
- Supervise food handling, preparation, plating, and presentation to uphold quality standards
- Oversee shift management, ensuring smooth operations during busy periods and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment aligned with industry best practices
- Collaborate with restaurant management on staffing schedules, training programs, and performance evaluations
Requirements
- Proven culinary experience with a strong background in Latin Inspired Cuisine in a fine dining environment and catering services
- Demonstrated supervising experience leading kitchen teams effectively
- Extensive knowledge of food production techniques, menu planning, and food service management
- Experience with inventory management, inventory control systems, and cost optimization strategies
- Familiarity with food safety standards such as HACCP or equivalent certifications
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent communication skills for coordinating with staff and other departments
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is highly desirable; experience in banquet settings is a plus
