Our Modeling Coaches play a vital role in delivering dynamic, confidence-building instruction to youth in our after-school/on campus modeling programs. Success in this role means creating a positive, engaging environment where students develop runway skills, self-expression, and teamwork. Coaches follow our proven curriculum while adding their own creativity and encouragement to each session. As a core part of the Modeling Troupe Association, you help shape the next generation of leaders through the arts -- making an impact that goes beyond the runway.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a school-based Modeling Troupe team, following the MTA curriculum and standards.
- Facilitate weekly practices that focus on runway, presentation, confidence, and team-building.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment where all students feel supported and empowered.
- Prepare students for performances, showcases, photo shoots, and local competitions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for your school's team, maintaining regular communication with MTA leadership.
- Collaborate with school staff and administrators to coordinate schedules, space usage, and student recruitment.
- Monitor student progress and engagement, providing guidance and encouragement a needed.
- Promote a culture of professionalism, creativity, and self-expression.
- Ensure all participants follow MTA guidelines and safety protocols during practices and events.
- Represent the Modeling Troupe Association's mission and values within the school community.
Qualifications
- Must be a current staff member at a middle or high school (teacher, paraprofessional, etc).
- Passion for youth development, mentorship, and the creative arts.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, especially with children and teens.
- Ability to create an encouraging, respectful, and inclusive team environment.
- Organized, dependable, and capable of managing a team and leading weekly practices.
- Comfortable following a structured curriculum/plan while adding personal creativity and coaching style.
- Experience in modeling, performance, dance, or youth programs is a plus (not required)
- Must be available for weekly team sessions and occasional events or showcases.
