Order Selector (Cold Warehouse) 2nd shift

Essential Functions:

• Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Model Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource and sustain improvement opportunities.
• Owning and promoting a Safety Culture by ensuring a safe work environment and promoting proper safety behavior.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality is an essential function of this position.
• Maintaining accuracy in picking orders.
• Maintaining proper product rotation. Checking all codes and stock in area.
• Maintaining a clean workstation at all times, including cardboard boxes.
• Getting empty cases for building of by-products.
• Getting tags for identifying stacks for loading.
• Taking all leakers to the reprocess area. Notifying Supervisor and/or Filler Operator if the leakers are coming from the plant.
• Maintaining appropriate dress and personal appearance standards.
• Knowing, understanding and adhering to all Company policies and procedures.
• Promoting and maintaining Company goodwill in all areas. Assisting others and performing other tasks as appropriate and/or necessary.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.
• Other responsibilities may include maintaining the case dock ensuring proper flow of cases are provided to the plant.
• Cleaning case washer on daily basis. Checking all spray jets, pumps, and refilling chemicals in case cleaner.
• Unloading trailers and trucks in a timely and efficient manner and maintaining case supply to fillers and trailers and trucks for load-out to prevent downtime.
• Thoroughly cleaning all trailer floors, walls and ceilings.
• Accurately recording transport and wholesale dump information.
• Accurately recording daily case return data.
• Keeping entire case dock clean and sanitized.
• Cleaning outside of reclaim tank daily and C.I.P reclaim tank weekly
• Responsible for pallets coming off trailers and placing them in designated work area and pallet storage area.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED is required.
• 2 or more years of experience in a cold storage environment.
• Must be a trustworthy self-starter who can work independently on highly detailed tasks and deliver accurate, timely results.
• Ability to learn quickly and continuously.
• Demonstrate good judgment, and problem solving and decision-making skills as well as being an organized record keeper.
• Must be able to stand/walk/stoop and bend and be on your feet for long periods and lift or drag up to 100 pounds.
• Work safely around industrial machinery.
• Must be able to work in cold (refrigerated) environment.
• Must be available to work any shift including weekends.
