What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Controls Analyst position at MODEC International, Inc.?
MODEC is a general contractor specializing in engineering,
procurement, construction and installation of floating
production systems including Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessels, Floating Storage and Offloading (FSO) vessels, Tension Leg Platforms (TLPs), Production Semi-Submersibles, Mobile
Offshore Production Units (MOPUs) and other
new technologies which will meet the challenges of various types of gas
production floaters. We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Controls Analyst in our Houston
office.
The
Project Controls Analyst will be responsible for the support of the project controls and the support of Operations
& Maintenance (O&M) commercial and business aspects under the
O&M development team in MII during the development phase of bids, proposals
and FEED for new projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set
Project manning, budget and schedule of O&M development
team
Arrangement
of proper internal work order with O&M support units in the other locations
(Brazil/Singapore, etc.)
Inter-coordination
for WBS set-up
Monitoring
the MHs/Cost for O&M development team
members (check of WBS code)
Monthly
Reviewing of the invoice from O&M support units
Preparation of list and request for
quote of Insurance Spare Parts for in-house buyer who deals with suppliers
LCC (Life Cycle Cost ) coordination
with in-house engineer/buyer and support unit in Brazil
Regularly follow up vendor quote
status
Support in-house buyer to inquire
operation service structure for vendors in new entry country
Support vendor vetting to engage 3rd
party during B&P phase
After contract award, support project
set up including hand-over process
Coordination with accounting and
pre-operation execution team for accurate invoicing / approval authority set-up
Support and administration work
required by O&M development team.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in business and management,
finance, or engineering/construction management.
A minimum of three years’ experience in cost
control or cost estimation function in O&M business for oil & gas
sectors or equivalent.
Working knowledge of Maintenance and Operation,
Project Management; Quality Assurance; Customs, Government/Industry Regulations
and Logistics, Operations; Procurement; Customer and Vendor Contract and
Sub-Contract Development, Review, Administration and Negotiation.
Must be computer literate, have experience with
analytical processing of cause and effect relationships; procedures and specification
development (technical and commercial); contract development and risk
management.
Excellent skill for using excel, word, power
point.
Must have good oral and written communication,
negotiation, conflict resolution, and team building and motivation skills.
Periodic travel to other MODEC Global
Offices & Locations.
