Customs Entry Specialist

About the Role

Are you detail-oriented, organized, and looking to start or grow your career in international logistics and supply chain operations? We are seeking a Customs Entry Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll help ensure imported shipments move smoothly through the customs process by accurately entering shipment information and supporting compliance requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and learning about global trade. We provide training and support to help you build your knowledge of customs regulations, import documentation, and industry systems.

What You'll Do

• Accurately enter shipment information for import ocean, air, road, and rail freight.
• Review and process import documentation while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
• Assist with customs compliance requirements and learn industry regulations and systems.
• Communicate professionally with customers, carriers, government agencies, and internal teams.
• Monitor shipments and proactively identify and resolve issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and service quality.
• Maintain organized records and ensure deadlines are met.
• Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional customer service.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in logistics, transportation, customer service, data entry, administrative support, or a related field.
• Experience working with customers or handling documentation is a plus.
• Exposure to customs brokerage, importing, or international shipping is helpful but not required.
• Knowledge of customs systems such as HTS, ABI, ACE, or Partner Government Agencies (FDA, EPA, Fish & Wildlife, etc.) is a plus, but training will be provided.

Technology Skills

• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Comfortable learning new software and technology platforms.
• Experience with data entry and internet-based applications preferred.
