As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented, motivated Accounting Intern who is eager to learn, contribute, and build strong relationships with both clients and team members in a collaborative environment.
Role Description: As a member of our team, you will work directly with clients and colleagues to provide accurate, timely, and meaningful assurance services. This is an on-site internship located in Carnegie, PA.
Responsibilities include:
· Assisting with audit documentation, workpaper preparation, and data entry
· Organizing financial records and supporting the preparation of client documents
· Assisting with bookkeeping and tax preparation activities under supervision
· Learning standard CPA firm processes and supporting client service initiatives
· Working closely with experienced professionals to develop technical and professional skills
You will also gain exposure to industry-specific accounting concepts, including:
- Construction: Job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, and revenue recognition
- Not-for-Profit: Fund accounting and donor restrictions
- Privately Held Companies: Private company GAAP reporting and financial statement disclosures
This internship provides valuable hands-on experience in public accounting, professional communication, and client service while offering exposure to a variety of industries and engagements.
Qualifications:
· Interest in building a long-term career in public accounting
· Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to organize financial information effectively
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with accounting software is a plus
· Strong written and verbal communication skills with a professional, client-focused approach
· Ability to follow instructions, collaborate in a team environment, and manage time effectively
· Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field
· Willingness to learn, ask questions, and handle confidential information with integrity
