Position Overview:
We're looking for a passionate and reliable back of the house Fry Cook / Prep Cook-(limited days of the week) / Assistant Baker to join our kitchen team. This position plays a key role in preparing our signature mochi donuts, assisting with rice bowl prep, and supporting our baking team with day-to-day operations.
You'll work closely with our kitchen leads and help maintain the high standards of quality, consistency, and presentation that Mochinatics is known for.
Responsibilities:
Fry Cook – Mochi Donuts
- Operate fryer to prepare mochi donuts according to company recipes and standards.
- Monitor oil temperature and frying times to ensure proper texture and consistency.
- Glaze, decorate, and finish mochi donuts with quality and presentation in mind.
- Maintain cleanliness and safety of the fryer area and kitchen workspace.
Cook / Prep – Asian Fusion Rice Bowls
- Prepare and portion rice, proteins, and sauces for service (e.g., poke, katsu, shrimp).
- Assist in assembling and plating bowls efficiently during rush periods.
- Ensure all ingredients are fresh, properly stored, and labeled.
Assistant Baker – Support Role
- Assist bakers with dough prep, mixing, portioning, and baking mochi pastries.
- Help with measuring ingredients, cleaning tools, and maintaining kitchen organization.
- Follow recipe cards and training instructions precisely to maintain product consistency.
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen experience preferred (frying, baking, or prep work).
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Must be available for morning shifts, weekends, and holidays when needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 32 per week
