The Inventory Leader is responsible for receiving, organizing, and maintaining accurate accountability of all items delivered to the site during a project. This role ensures inventory integrity, supports operational efficiency, and supervises Inventory Helpers to ensure the success of each project.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Define inventory work methodology with the Project Manager.
- Supervise and delegate tasks to Inventory Helpers, ensuring productivity and accuracy.
- Perform inventory counts and ensure accurate reporting per company policy.
- Organize and manage inventory tasks such as kitting and sorting upon client request.
- Maintain inventory levels to meet project demands.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies in inventory records.
- Monitor delivery schedules and coordinate unloading operations.
- File claims for defective or missing items in coordination with the PM.
- Collaborate with customer service and logistics teams.
- Manage date-sensitive items and facilitate proper handling.
- Train and lead inventory team to ensure quality and consistency.
- Build relationships with suppliers for reliable and cost-effective service.
- Oversee inventory close-out procedures at project completion.
- Ensure compliance with quality management system procedures.
- Deliver accurate reports for item receipt and delivery at the work site.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
- Associate degree in logistics or business (preferred).
- CPR, First Aid, and Fire Safety certifications (preferred).
- 1 year experience in inventory, logistics, or warehousing.
- Experience supervising warehouse teams or similar roles.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite.
