Position Summary: The Warehouse Picker/Packer supports daily warehouse operations while also serving as a company driver for local deliveries and pickups. This role is responsible for receiving, storing, organizing, and preparing materials, as well as safely operating company vehicles to transport goods to customers, vendors, and job sites. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Job Functions
Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments
- Pick, pack, and prepare orders for delivery or shipment
- Load and unload trucks using pallet jacks, forklifts, or other equipment (if certified)
- Maintain accurate inventory through cycle counts and proper documentation
- Organize warehouse materials to ensure cleanliness, safety, and efficiency Follow all warehouse safety procedures and company policies
Driving & Delivery
- Operate company vehicles to deliver products to customers or job sites
- Load and secure materials to prevent damage during transport
- Obtain delivery signatures and complete required paperwork or digital logs
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Represent the company professionally during all customer interactions Follow all DOT, state, and local driving regulations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 1 year previous driving with a clean driving record
- Previous warehouse or delivery experience preferred
- Ability to operate or willingness to train on forklifts and material-handling equipment
- Basic computer or scanner skills for inventory and delivery tracking
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the shift
- Comfortable working in varying warehouse temperatures
- Ability to safely operate vehicles for extended periods
Work Environment
- Fast-paced warehouse setting with frequent movement and material handling
- Driving in local or regional areas depending on business needs
- Team-oriented environment with daily interaction across departments
