Position Summary:

* Must have experience in an administrative position at a childcare facility.

The Mobius Director, is responsible for promoting the mission and core values of Mobius. The Mobius Director assists with operational and administrative tasks required to run the center efficiently and adhering to the Arkansas Department of Health standards. The Director provides leadership to the Mobius instructors and leads administrative tasks such as outreach to parents, center tours, and having an enrollment discussion with a walk-in parents when the Center Director is currently occupied.

Role:

  • Manage all aspects of Mobius operations ensuring it is running efficiently and adhering to the Arkansas Department of Health standards.
  • Positively interact and engage with parents, building rapport, establishing trust, answering any inquires, and demonstrating appreciation for their support of Mobius.
  • Market the Mobius mission and core values to actively enroll students.
  • Assist students and Mobi Instructors for exceptional experiential learning by providing them with the educational material they need in an activity-based environment.
  • Build relationships with team members in order to effectively motivate and lead them.
  • Take accountability/ownership of decisions, actions, choices, and outcomes

Characteristics:

Resourceful:
The Mobi Director must be able to support all aspects of Mobius including administrative, experiential learning, Mobi Instructor recruitment and development, and parent relationship activities. The Mobius Director must be able to learn quickly, and problem solve effectively in various scenarios given the age range of students from 5 – 12 and the size and scope of the Mobius facility and activities.

Engaging:
The Mobi Director must be highly enthusiastic about kids and their learning potential, be fun and creative, and genuinely focused on child development and learning in activity based programs. Additionally, the Mobi Director must be supportive of instructors and encourage them toward peak performance.

Decisive:
The Mobius Director must be a confident decision maker who takes ownership for his/her actions and outcomes. The Mobius Director must be able to think through challenges and opportunities presented by instructors and students, as well as, challenges with parents and customers.

Tasks Performed:

Operations:

  • Coordinate with team members to ensure student health and safety is a priority at all times.
  • Manage the overall center environment, paying close attention to detail and effectively manage the flow of students, parents, customers, and team members.
  • Manage student engagement and ensure instructional staff are frequently interacting with students to answer question or provide additional assistance.
  • Assume responsibility and ensure each student properly check-in and checked out of the center through the tablet.
  • Delegate Mobi Instructional leadership duties such as age groups or specialty rooms to appropriate positions and team members.
  • Prepare, maintain, or oversee the preparation, opening, maintenance, and closing of the center
  • Watch for and recognize security risks

Student Enrollment:

  • Be available and respond promptly to inquiries about Mobius programs.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to potential students and their families through professional conduct and answering any and all questions.
  • Respond to potential enrollments in person, from email, by phone, and from the Mobius website and follow-up on interested parents or special event program inquiries.
  • Ensure all students are positively welcomed, greeted, and introduced to all Mobi Instructors.
  • Re-enroll currently enrolled students as their enrollment expires.

Parent Relationships:

  • Make parents feel welcomed on the phone, in-person, and through email to foster and maintain a positive, engaging experience.
  • Actively seek out to satisfy customer/parents needs and requests by providing exceptional customer service and re-aligning expectations to increase customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Send communication and opinion polls to parents (current, inactive, and leads) updating them about Mobius programs, events, activities, and co-promotions to gain feedback for Mobius programs.

People First Leadership:

  • Conduct appropriate onboarding training of new Mobi Instructors to ensure dress code and provide them several Mobius polos shirts.
  • Motivate and encourage Mobi Instructors to excel in their role through positive reinforcement and best practices of experiential learning methods.
  • Coach and train Mobi Instructors on how to interact with parents and students properly and positively.
  • Be a role model for instruction and customer interaction demonstrating how to provide exceptional customer service through effective student instruction and effective parent/customer interaction
  • Increase Mobius operational efficiencies through new learning and experimentation to improve and engage students in the Mobius experience.

Self-Management:

  • Monitor and manage self-performance utilizing overall center performance, customer service, enrollment targets, and parent/student satisfaction poll data as success indicators.
