Typical Schedule: Monday–Friday, approximately 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. during the school year (hours may vary).
Position Summary
The Mobius Bus Driver plays an important role in helping students begin and end their Mobius experience safely. Drivers are responsible for providing reliable transportation from participating De Pere schools to Mobius each afternoon while creating a welcoming, positive, and safe environment for every child.
As one of the first Mobius team members students interact with each day, Bus Drivers help set the tone for the afternoon through professionalism, patience, and kindness. Drivers work closely with the Center Director and staff to ensure students arrive safely and are accounted for during every route.
Role
- Safely transport students from participating schools to Mobius using a Mobius/Lamers vehicle (or designated transportation vehicle).
- Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns.
- Ensure every student boards and exits the vehicle safely while following established transportation procedures.
- Maintain accurate attendance and verify all students are accounted for during transportation.
- Foster a safe, respectful, and positive atmosphere while transporting students.
- Communicate transportation updates, delays, or concerns promptly with the Center Director.
- Follow all Wisconsin traffic laws, licensing requirements, and Mobius transportation policies.
- Assist with loading and unloading students when needed.
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe vehicle.
- Assist with other program duties before or after routes as assigned.

Tasks Performed
- Safely operate a passenger vehicle on assigned after-school routes.
- Perform daily safety inspections before and after routes.
- Maintain student attendance and transportation records.
- Assist students entering and exiting the vehicle safely.
- Maintain appropriate student behavior during transportation.
- Communicate any student concerns, incidents, or route changes to the Center Director.
- Keep the vehicle clean and organized.
- Participate in staff meetings and required trainings.
- Support the Mobius team as needed before or after transportation routes.
Requirements
- At least 21 years old.
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Current CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements, or willingness to obtain a CDL through employer-provided training.
- Ability to meet all insurance and transportation eligibility requirements.
- Previous experience transporting children is preferred but not required.
- CPR certified or willing to complete CPR training (provided and paid for by Mobius).
- Successfully complete Mobius onboarding and training.
- Ability to pass all required background checks.
Pay: $25.00 per hour
