Mobility Plus Physical Therapy is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Biller, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of medical claims and invoices. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work closely with healthcare practitioners and insurance providers, helping to minimize billing errors and maximize reimbursements. The successful candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and a comprehensive understanding of medical billing procedures.
Responsibilities
- Process and submit medical claims to insurance companies
- Verify patient insurance coverage and obtain necessary authorizations
- Review and analyze medical documents to accurately code procedures and diagnoses
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies or denials
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations and billing guidelines
- Generate and send invoices to patients for outstanding balances
- Follow up with insurance companies on outstanding claims
- Front Office Reception, patient scheduling, new patient registration
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing is preferred
- Proven experience in medical billing or a related field
- Working knowledge of medical terminology and coding systems (CPT, ICD-10, etc.)
- Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) software and medical billing software
- Familiarity with insurance claim submissions and reimbursement processes
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies.
