What You'll Do
As an Automotive Technician / Reconditioning Specialist, you will perform inspections, diagnostics, repairs, maintenance, and vehicle reconditioning across a wide range of vehicles.
Responsibilities include:
- Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections and identify mechanical, electrical, and safety-related repairs.
- Diagnose and repair suspension, steering, brakes, HVAC, electrical systems, and other vehicle systems.
- Diagnose electrical problems using wiring diagrams, schematics, and professional diagnostic equipment.
- Troubleshoot complex automotive electrical and drivability issues.
- Utilize professional scan tools and diagnostic equipment.
- Perform maintenance, repairs, component replacement, and vehicle reconditioning.
- Work on wheelchair-accessible vehicles and mobility equipment as well as conventional automobiles.
- Diagnose and repair vehicles from manufacturers including Toyota, Honda, Chrysler, BMW, Porsche, and other domestic and import vehicles.
- Understand and diagnose ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) when applicable.
- Properly document repairs and maintain accurate service records.
- Follow established safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Take pride in producing high-quality workmanship the first time.
What We're Looking For
We are looking for an experienced technician who takes pride in their work and can work independently.
Required:
- Minimum 5 years of consistent, successful automotive repair experience
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic skills
- Experience diagnosing automotive electrical systems
- Ability to read and understand automotive wiring diagrams and schematics
- Experience using professional automotive diagnostic tools
- Good understanding of modern automotive systems and technology
- Ability to perform quality repairs efficiently and accurately
- Own professional tools
- Clean driving record
- Valid driver's license
- Dependable and able to work as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
