Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience working with neuro patients and those requiring upper extremity and hand therapy. They will also treat patients with a variety of other conditions within the scope of occupational therapy, reflecting the diverse needs of a rural outpatient clinic. This role requires a therapist who is proficient in custom fabricated splints, as we hold a Durable Medical Equipment (DME) license and have the necessary equipment to support this specialized treatment. Additionally, the candidate must be willing to engage in marketing efforts by reaching out to area physicians to raise awareness of the occupational therapy services we offer, with the goal of driving referrals to our clinic.
Key Responsibilities
● Provide occupational therapy services to neuro patients requiring multidisciplinary rehabilitation.
● Deliver specialized upper extremity and hand therapy treatments.
● Fabricate custom splints using our in-house equipment and DME license.
● Collaborate with other rehabilitation professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
● Actively engage with local physicians and healthcare providers to build awareness of our occupational therapy services.
● Develop and maintain referral relationships to support clinic growth.
Qualifications
● Licensed Occupational Therapist with relevant experience.
● Experience in custom fabricated splints.
● Background in neuro rehabilitation and upper extremity/hand therapy.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Self-motivated with a willingness to engage in community outreach and referral development.
● Ability to pass a background check.
