Bilingual Sales Advocate

Duties

• Greet customers warmly in both English and your second language, creating a welcoming shopping experience
• Assist customers by providing detailed product demonstrations and explaining features clearly
• Conduct upselling by recommending additional products or services that meet customer needs
• Manage point-of-sale (POS) transactions accurately, including cash handling and processing payments efficiently
• Maintain well-stocked shelves through merchandising, stocking, and organizing products to maximize sales potential
• Ensure the retail space is clean, organized, and visually appealing to enhance customer engagement
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries professionally via phone or in person with proper phone etiquette
• Support inventory management activities such as stock checks, inventory counts, and replenishment tasks
• Assist with cashiering duties including processing returns, exchanges, and handling cash or card payments securely
• Demonstrate strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members at all times
• Support the team with basic retail math calculations for pricing, discounts, and sales transactions

Qualifications

• Bilingual proficiency in English and another language (e.g., Spanish, French) is required to serve our diverse clientele effectively
• Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not mandatory; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
• Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering procedures, and basic retail math concepts is advantageous
• Strong communication skills with the ability to engage customers confidently and professionally
• Experience in grocery store or similar retail environments is a plus
• Supervising experience or leadership roles are beneficial but not essential; we value proactive team players willing to grow into leadership positions
• Knowledge of merchandising techniques, stock management, and product demos will help you succeed in this role
• Excellent phone etiquette skills for handling customer inquiries over the phone effectively
• Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for sales transactions and inventory management
