In this vital role, you will support our providers and patients through a combination of clinical coordination, patient communication, triage, and care management. You'll work alongside an experienced, collaborative team dedicated to delivering exceptional home-based primary care.

Position Responsibilities

As a Certified Medical Assistant, you will:

• Serve as a liaison between providers, patients, caregivers, pharmacies, hospitals, and healthcare partners
• Perform triage duties and assist in managing patient care needs
• Process prescription refill requests as directed by providers
• Maintain accurate and complete electronic medical records (EMR)
• Verify patient demographics, medical histories, and clinical information
• Obtain, review, and document laboratory results
• Coordinate urgent and same-day patient appointments with the Scheduling Team
• Respond to patient and caregiver inquiries promptly and professionally
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and healthcare standards
• Support care coordination efforts across interdisciplinary teams

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (preferred)
• Minimum of 2 years of Medical Assistant experience (preferred)
• Primary Care experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and healthcare practices
• Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR)
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Work Location

• Hybrid position based out of our New Port Richey, FL office
• Remote work from home available as part of the hybrid schedule
